We all have our opinions on masks and all the conspiracies behind COVID-19. The truth is none of us know the true impact of the virus, what is safe and what is not, or whether wearing a mask helps slow the spread. All we can do is listen to our healthcare experts, who spent years earning a degree and studying to learn what they know. The pandemic we are facing is new and never been experienced by anyone living whether a healthcare expert, political figure, school administrator, preacher, or Facebook specialist. We all have our reservations about how reliable the numbers are or is there a political agenda behind this, but one thing I do know is the virus is real and it is in South Africa and all around us. We are all facing uncertainties that have many unknowns and many of us don’t know what to believe anymore including myself, but today I'm being told that a mask might help slow the spread so I will mask up for my elderly grandmother...
