The is nothing as nerve wrecking like a job interview, you are required
to prepare possible questions while at it you must figure out how to answer
those questions by yourself, there are lot of dos and don’ts involved but the truth
of the matter is that the is no right or wrong answer during a job interview
session.
Interviews are meant to assess the potential of a candidate and to check
their knowledge about a particular field of work or responsibility.
I was invited for a job interview in a certain company for a position of
an Editorial Specialist and the questions that where asked during that interview
were way different from what I have previously prepared.
I was expecting something like “tell us about yourself, what are your
strengths and weaknesses” but things went south and at this point I was
frustrated because my preparations have been blown out.
I had to stand on my toes and come up with a contingency plan to cover
up for the blown plan, I completely felt like a Central Intelligence Agency`s (CIA)
agent whose cover has been blown.
The way in which I attempted to answer their diffi- ‘cult’ questions was
that everything I said was in line with the duties and responsibilities of position.
It’s a traumatic situation I know but try not to over impress the interviewer
because that shows desperation, just be calm and answer to your best of ability
and remember that they are not looking for correct answers but they are in
quest for a potential candidate.
So! in your next interview work much on the responsibilities of the job
that putting time on trying to figure out who you are because your CV has all
that.
