Where we come from there's only one definition of success.
Your successful when you own a car and a personal home. But life doesn't always work like that .
Each person should have his own definition of success.
To me success is constant cashflows with growth. That's what matters to me.
I can get R500k first thing I think about is how do I turn that R500k to R2 million or how can I make atleast R50k a month from that R500k.
I would not buy a personal home with R500k unless I already have consistent cashflows.
You can use the R500K to start a business that can make you R50k a month or R20k a month use that R20k to save up to build your house.
Think about it. Motsepe is a billionaire but still goes around borrowing money. Why? Why not use his own money and dry up his bank account? Because he understands that cashflow is leverage.
Your father dies . Leaves you with R1 million . You use that R1 million to build a house. A year later you have no money for food.
Instead of using atleast R300k from that R1 million to create an income leave the R700k in the bank or invest it. Maintain your lifestyle then use the cash your generating from your business to survive or maintain your current lifestyle.
The interest you earn from your R700k also use it to buy neccessities or build yourself a house.
Atleast then you'd still have R700k that your father and a business worth R300k or more. Meaning the R1 million your father left you .You still have it and you used it to create incomes for yourself.
My point is don't succumb to society standards. Think. Even if you build your house at 40 work on creating cashflows first. Cashflow is the new definition of wealth.
